Twinfinity® (Sweco AB) is a cloud-based platform designed for creating digital twins, primarily focused on the property management sector. It combines digital 3D models with various types of property data, such as business, operational, and climate information, allowing users to gain insights into the performance of buildings and entire property portfolios.

Enhance the user experience of digital twins to minimize the ecological footprint of buildings, optimize operations, and lower management expenses.

Solution

A comprehensive solution suite was developed for managing objects within an IFC file, enhancing both insight and management capabilities. An interface was introduced for visually sectioning parts of the model, enabling convenient interaction with hard-to-reach objects inside the model.
The visual interface allows users to adjust the positioning of clipping planes while working with the model. A search feature was added to locate objects based on all business parameters from the IFC file.
To improve visibility, a model viewing format was applied where all objects not meeting search criteria became transparent, leaving only their outlines visible. The search interaction was integrated with all existing features.

The visual aspect of the project was enhanced for ease of use, including the addition of hotkeys and an introductory guide for acquiring new users with the project. The internal logic of the implemented functionality was partially modified to accelerate the processing of large models and eliminate memory leaks. Multilingual support was also added to the project.
