Who We’re Looking For
Jaxel is seeking a Senior Python Network Automation Engineer.
What You’ll Do

Design and develop Python-based automation services for infrastructure provisioning and configuration

Build and maintain REST APIs and internal services used by infrastructure platforms
-
Create reusable automation frameworks, libraries, and tooling
-
Integrate Python services with external systems via APIs
-
Improve reliability, observability, and scalability of automation platforms
-
Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, and security teams
-
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
-
Support adoption of automation solutions across global engineering teams

Deep hands-on configuration of network devices

Vendor-specific expertise (Cisco, SD-WAN, etc.)

Advanced routing, switching, or protocol-level troubleshooting

Software Engineering (Primary)
4+ years of professional Python development
Strong knowledge of:
Object-Oriented Programming
Data structures and algorithms
API design (REST)
Experience building backend services or automation platforms
Familiarity with common Python tooling and libraries
Experience working with Git-based workflows
Automation & DevOps (Secondary)
Experience automating systems or infrastructure (not necessarily networking)
Comfort working with:
APIs (REST, JSON)
CLI tools and scripts
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with tools such as Git, IDEs (PyCharm / VS Code), API clients (Postman or similar)
