Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join our team.
What You’ll Do
You will work on a small team closely with the company founder on scaling the product to thousands of clinical trials. This role is a combination of a cloud infrastructure / devops and backend engineer with the following responsibilities:
- Maintain and evolve our infrastructure as code (IaC) using AWS CDK.
- Maintain and evolve our deployment pipelines and system actions using Github Actions.
- Own environment bootstrapping automation for new customer deployments.
- Take initiatives to improve system reliability, security, monitoring, alerting, metric collection, and dashboarding.
- Facilitate compliance accreditations (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST) in a team effort with the help of an outside vendor
- Develop and maintain resilience and security practices, such as disaster recovery and vulnerability scanning.
- As your time permits, take part in backend development. Our backend developers work on generative AI on a daily basis (no prior genAI experience is expected), build reliable, simple, and efficient python services, integrate with clinical trial management systems, and leave the code better than they find it.
What You’ll Need
You MUST have a computer science or similar degree AND have worked exclusively as a cloud infrastructure or software engineer for your entire career. Unfortunately, we will NOT be able to give consideration to system administrators, data engineers, ML engineers, data scientists, professors, or any other alternative backgrounds at this stage of our company.
- Be excited about our mission of revolutionizing clinical trials and getting much needed therapy to patients faster using generative AI.
- Solid AWS infrastructure experience supporting commercial products for at least 5 years.
- Solid infrastructure as code (IaC) experience. AWS CDK experience is a plus.
- Solid CICD experience. Github Actions experience is a plus.
- BS in Computer Science or similar.
- Be a self-starter, not a ticket cruncher.
- Be curious, practical, and result-oriented.
- Be analytical with attention to detail.
- Strong Python product development experience is a big plus.
- Experience with large language models in production, where you personally wrote prompts and used GenAI tooling, such as prompting or guardrail libraries, is a plus
