Who We’re Looking For
Jaxel is looking for a skilled and proactive Data Engineer who will develop and maintain the semantic backbone of company’s AI platform. Design domain-specific ontologies, manage knowledge graph pipelines, and enable advanced reasoning for claims registration and fraud detection.
What You’ll Do

Ontology Design: Create and maintain ontologies for health insurance claims, medical coding standards (ICD, CPT), document templates, and investigation workflows.

Graph Construction: Lead ingestion, curation, and graph modeling of structured and unstructured data.

Semantic Integration: Define schema mappings and alignment strategies between client data models and the core ontology.

Reasoning & Validation: Implement rule-based validation and graph-based consistency checks (e.g., temporal constraints).

Scalability & Performance: Optimize graph storage and query performance for real-time alerting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with data scientists to embed semantic reasoning into ML pipelines and agent workflows.
What You’ll Need

5+ years of experience in knowledge engineering, ontology development, or linked data projects.

Deep expertise with OWL, RDF, SHACL, or comparable semantic standards.

Experience building and querying large-scale knowledge graphs using Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, TigerGraph, etc.

Proficiency in SPARQL, Cypher, or Gremlin.

Familiarity with healthcare ontologies and standards (SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD).

Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate between technical and domain experts.
