Who We’re Looking For
Jaxel is looking for a skilled and proactive ML Engineer who will lead the design, development, and deployment of autonomous AI agents within company’s platform. Collaborate with product and engineering to translate strategic objectives into robust, production-grade multi-agent workflows for decisioning in health insurance claims.
What You’ll Do

Model Design & Development: Architect and implement deep learning solutions for NLP (transformers), vision-language models, graph neural networks, and autoencoders.

Custom Model Training: Fine-tune domain-specific LLMs and VLMs for OCR, field extraction, and medical inference tasks.

Performance Evaluation: Define and track key metrics (precision, recall, NGCD), run A/B tests and simulate decision rules.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with product, data engineers, and agent teams to integrate models into production workflows.

Mentorship & Standards: Guide mid- to junior-level engineers, define best practices and standards for code quality and deployment.
What You’ll Need

5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in AI agent or conversational AI development.

Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, MCP, or equivalent agentic frameworks.

Proven track record of delivering at least one production AI agent (chatbot, autonomous workflow agent, etc.).

Strong Python expertise, with familiarity in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

Experience with RESTful APIs, message queues, and event-driven architectures.

Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex research into operational systems.

Hands-on experience with LangSmith, LangFuse, or similar LLM observability/logging platforms.

Experience with prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
