Who We’re Looking For:

This role requires you to develop strategic plans, roadmap, and detailed execution strategy that prioritizes requirements across a complex set of stakeholders including small to large customers, internal product and business systems teams, and 3rd party developer partners.

This role is for an aspiring or current Product Manager who will be responsible for driving results with the context of our customer’s needs and our company strategy. This person must assume the role of a Product Manager and must understand end user requirements to drive new product development that creates benefits and value to our business and its customers. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who can dig into the details and fully understand a customer’s journey and pain points in the context of how they interact with our company. The candidate will be able to decipher intricate details and recommend solutions that add real value to our bottom-line profits or top line revenues. The person must be able to communicate with multi-disciplinary teams and develop strong partnerships across functions to drive measurable operational results.

What You’ll Do:

  • The product development process will be supported through the definition and execution of product roadmaps by leveraging business requirements, market data, and customer requirements with a focus on user-centric product development.
  • Direct Agile development teams including sprint definition, backlog prioritization, user stories, development and release of Minimum Value Product (MVP).
  • Plan and define user stories; tasks sprints; design develop and manage product activities, from definition and planning, through production, release, upgrades and end of life.
  • Serves as the central resource and subject matter expert through the entire product life-cycle-management process – Ideation, market/customer research, strategy, prototyping/concept development, pilot testing, product development, customer testing, quality & performance management, cost management, pricing, marketing, change management, implementation/deployment, maintenance/upgrades and end-of-life management.
  • Collaborates with business and technology teams ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of user’s acceptance, etc.
  • Implements security controls and executes operational risk mitigations. Leverages market insights, as well as business and financial acumen to support cutting edge product development.
  • Ensures the maintenance of an up-to-date documentation library.
  • Conducts and/or oversees system support activities to ensure quality of work provided to end users.
  • Plans and conducts and/or oversees system maintenance, updates, upgrades and enhancements to limit loss of service.
  • Conducts and/or oversees data analysis and testing activities associated with system operations performance, implementation/deployment, maintenance/upgrades and end-of-life management.
  • Work with customers and other internal teams to unearth pain points and their most pressing needs
  • Demonstrate the ability to separate a need from a solution and collaborate with your team to develop the optimal solution
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and business team members on business cases, product requirements, development, launch, and adoption
  • Write detailed requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and Jira tickets to ensure that Software Engineers can executive effectively
  • Manage and mentor a team of product managers
  • Develop and manage goals and success metrics for your team and products
  • Be willing and able to do hands-on product management work alongside your team

What You’ll Need:

  • 4+ years of product management experience serving in senior roles defining, influencing, and executing on products and platform strategy
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience hiring and managing product managers
  • BS/BA in an Information Technology or related field
  • Experience at IT service companies (nice to have)
  • Experience analyzing customer needs and workflows and identifying gaps and solutions
  • Experience with complex system integration projects
  • Experience with Agile software development and Scrum processes
  • Track record of developing solutions that require collaboration across multiple organizations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – interface with our customers as well as internal stakeholders: fellow product managers, product designers, technical writers, engineers, sales, consulting, customer success, training, and product marketing
  • Passion for solving our customers’ problems with fast, solid, and innovative solutions
  • Ability to embrace ambiguity and change, find patterns in divergent inputs, simplify the complex and create clarity, and drive fast and hard to alignment and execution
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build strong data-driven arguments, prioritize with business strategy in mind, and evangelize projects to build mindshare and consensus
