Who We’re Looking For:

Our team is in search of a Senior macOS Developer to help us to resolve our new project for one of the leading platforms to change the way digital products are built.

About Team and Project:

Our client made its name helping design teams create the world’s best digital products. And you will be working on one of the most critical products in the most popular platform in the digital world: Craft and Web Prototyping.

You’ll be part of a small team that implements our native macOS clients for the platform and our client custom plugin delivery service.

This team you will work with is focused on delivering best in class experiences to the Customers while solving tough challenges like developing interactive prototyping tools and creating design workflow plugins.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with designers and product managers to deliver new features in our native macOS Apps and Sketch plugins
  • Implement native macOS user interfaces using both Swift and Objective-C
  • Dive deep into the Sketch plugin ecosystem using both Objective-C and JavaScript to deliver a suite of plugins
  • Refactor code on an ongoing basis to improve developer efficiency, architecture, and quality
  • Research and help to define technical standards for the company
  • Lead code reviews and guide software architecture decisions for your team
  • Create system documentation/play book(s) and serve as a lead technical reviewer and contributor
  • Actively work to understand and implement initiatives to drive quality such as stability, performance and clean code
  • Have the ability to transfer the technical expertise and software engineering knowledge to various areas including Migration of customers through different versions of our software platform across different engineering teams – be it backend or front end as seen fit.

What you’ll need:

  • Strong proficiency in Swift, Objective-C and JavaScript
  • Sketch plugin development and Node.js experience is a plus
  • Hands on experience designing, implementing, deploying through CI, and operating distributed systems at scale and under heavy load
  • Multiple years of experience mentoring and leading experienced engineers
  • A track record of building consensus and influencing technical decisions across an organization
  • Multiple years of experience debugging complex issues at every level of the stack
  • Solid understanding of cross-process interactions (either app to app or app to distributed service)
  • Fluency in English at a level not lower than Upper-Intermediate

Recruiting process:

  • Non-technical interview – 30 minutes introduction call.
  • Technical interview (2 rounds in 2 different days) – 1-2 hours depending on the candidate’s grade. Includes an assessment of your technical skills in the context of the technology stack declared in the vacancy and the total work experience in the profession.
  • At the interview, you may be asked to perform a technical test (live coding).
