Who We’re Looking For:

We are glad to announce to you that we are launching a new project! And for the success of this project, we are seeking a hands-on Lead Database Reliability Engineer to support the technical direction of the Database Reliability Engineering (DBRE) team. 

This role delivers data technology to fulfill business, consumer and engineering needs. You’ll assure that we are meeting the needs of our consumers ’ product direction by offering dependable systems and tooling. 

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to assembling leading cloud infrastructure tools to meet the needs of product-engineering teams
  • Contribute improvements in the tools back to the Open Source community
  • Work cross-functionally by partnering with product engineering teams to improve their developer experience and assist them with transitioning their services to new observability tooling and infrastructure.
  • Strive to improve operations, reliability, and observability of platform and product workloads
  • Should be on-call 1 week every 6 weeks for the infrastructure we support

What You’ll Need To Succeed:

  • 5+ years of experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Linux and one or more of the DB (MySql, Postgresql, MongoDB/Atlas, DynamoDB)
  • Hands-on experience building systems extensions and infrastructure solutions
  • Bias towards results, absolute willingness to own the problem and drive towards a speedy solution; you won’t stop until the problem is solved with an effective solution
  • Compassion for product engineers operating their own services on the infrastructure we manage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • English conversational level, not lower  B2-C1

Recruiting process:

  1. Non-technical interview – 30 minutes introduction call.
  2. Technical interview (2 rounds in 2 different days) – 1-2 hours depending on the candidate’s grade. Includes an assessment of your technical skills in the context of the technology stack declared in the vacancy and the total work experience in the profession. At the interview, you may be asked to perform a technical test (live coding).
  3. Discussion of interview result.
