Our Frameworks and Design Systems team is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to test updates to JavaScript libraries and other front-end components on one of the world’s most visited sites. This is not a task-based job. Primary responsibilities include writing and maintaining automation scripts, converting manual test cases into automation tests and helping out with manual testing when needed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with product owners and developers to validate requirements and understand the expected system behavior, ensuring lines of communication remain open at all times
  • Develop robust and reusable automated tests
  • Write and execute both manual and automated test cases on a mix of modern and legacy web browsers and OS combinations
  • Generate test plans and test cases based on the business requirements and functional specification documents
  • Ensure systems are working according to requirements and recommend improvements
  • Ensure features and applications are fully tested before release
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify efficiencies at all levels and automate routine tasks
  • Work with front-end developers to drive improvements in code quality via automated testing

What You’ll Need:

  • Prior success as an individual Automation Engineer embedded within a product team
  • Create, maintain and execute test automation scripts
  • Expertise in automation using Selenium WebDriver
  • Strong experience required in JavaScript
  • Experience in Appium and JavaScript testing frameworks like Jasmine, WebdriverIO
  • Familiarity with GitHub and continuous integration build system like Jenkins
  • Proven experience with cross-browser testing web applications
  • Proficient in test analysis, creating test plans and bug reporting
  • Strong analytical skills to derive test cases from requirements
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work with shifting timelines and short deadlines
  • Good communication skills and experience working on cross-disciplinary teams
  • A willingness to identify, own and solve problems independently and as part of a team
